The first signs of autumn are emerging here at Barking Tree Pottery and we have some exciting updates to share!
The summer flew by, once again, and we've entered my favorite season of Fall. Things have been busy at the studio, with growth in the number of shows and classes. I've enjoyed having many new students visit the studio to try their hands at throwing and hand-building projects. Each group, whether couples, friends, families, or teachers, has brought a renewed sense of excitement for me and allowed me to continue sharing my knowledge and love of clay.
Summer months are usually a slower time for me, allowing for travel and visiting with family and friends. But it's back to work! My classes at Chester Springs Studio (CSS) are full and already, the students are full steam ahead. I've continued to help fire the amazing wood/salt kiln at CSS, as I always enjoy the sense of community and spirited group of potters that takes part! I reserve my salt kiln at Barking Tree Pottery for firing platters and larger pieces, and the gift of having a kiln in my backyard continues to bring me a sense of peace and joy.
For me, fall is a time for sharing meals with friends and family. I look forward to continuing to create beautiful pieces that may one day make their way into each of your homes and hands. Keep Barking Tree Pottery in mind while shopping for a special gift for yourself or your loved ones!
